Commerce Teacher – Relieving Position

About the role

Rangiora High School is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Commerce Teacher for a long‑term relieving position. The role starts as soon as possible and runs until 25 September 2026, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a progressive co‑educational environment of 1,700 students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess the commerce curriculum, including economics, accounting and business studies.
• Implement PB4L, restorative practices and culturally responsive pedagogy in daily teaching.
• Foster student voice and choice, encouraging active engagement and achievement.
• Participate in co‑curricular and extra‑curricular activities, supporting the broader school community.
• Collaborate with department colleagues to develop innovative learning experiences.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a background in commerce or related subjects.
• Passionate about improving student engagement and academic outcomes.
• Committed to inclusive, culturally responsive teaching practices.
