About the role

Christchurch Girls’ High School is seeking a professional and motivated English teacher on a fixed‑term, full‑time basis to cover parental leave. The role involves teaching Years 9‑13 students in a leading state day and boarding school, with a focus on girls’ education and a future‑oriented curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess English curriculum for secondary students (Years 9‑13).
• Develop engaging, responsive lessons that reflect the school’s relational culture.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practice and contribute to curriculum development.
• Participate in co‑curricular, extra‑curricular activities and school events.
• Engage in reflective practice and continuous professional development.

• Qualified English teacher with experience in secondary education.
