Collections Registry Officer (Hybrid) – Auckland

About the role

The Collections Registry Officer supports the Ministry of Justice by helping New Zealanders resolve fines and civil matters through professional, people‑centred communication. This hybrid role combines office work with the flexibility to work from home, ensuring timely assistance for customers during some of their most challenging moments.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries regarding fines, penalties and other civil matters.
• Provide clear, accurate information and guide customers through payment or dispute processes.
• Maintain accurate records in the collections registry system.
• Make quality decisions in line with Ministry policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to improve service delivery.
