Clinical Psychologist

About the role

Habit Health is expanding its rehabilitation services in Gisborne and is looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join its multidisciplinary team. This role offers the chance to develop specialised clinical skills in a supportive environment while contributing to patient well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide evidence‑based recommendations.
• Prepare clear written and verbal summaries of assessments for patients and referral partners.
• Contribute to the development of training materials and resources for service delivery.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, sharing knowledge and learning together.

Required profile

• MA, PG Dip, DClin or equivalent qualification in psychology.
• Registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists’ Board and a current APC.
• Membership of a professional body such as the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists or the New Zealand Psychological Society.
• Approachable, people‑centred disposition with strong interpersonal skills.
