Checkout Operator

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and reliable Checkout Operator to join our team at Mitre 10 MEGA Queenstown on a part‑time basis. You will be the first point of contact for customers entering the store, delivering a high level of service and ensuring a smooth, accurate checkout experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide outstanding service throughout their visit.
• Operate the point‑of‑sale system, scan items, and process payments accurately.
• Handle cash, card, and other payment methods, ensuring correct change and transaction records.
• Maintain a tidy checkout area and adhere to store merchandising standards.
• Identify and resolve customer queries or issues promptly.
