Channel Manager - Sub Continent

About the role

Goodman Fielder is looking for an experienced Channel Sales Manager to lead one of its biggest growth channels across retail, wholesale and foodservice. You will lead two direct reports and own the channel growth strategy, while developing customer relationships and unlocking new commercial opportunities. The team is described as supportive and encouraging fresh thinking.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a growing team, building capability and driving performance.
• Own and deliver the channel growth strategy across retail, wholesale and foodservice.
• Win new business, grow existing customers and expand the product portfolio.
• Build strong customer partnerships and identify growth opportunities.
• Deliver sales, revenue and profit targets through commercial planning and negotiation.
• Bring fresh ideas and continuously improve how the channel grows.

Required profile

• Proven sales leadership experience and a genuine passion for developing people.
• Experience in strategic sales, channel management or business development, ideally in FMCG, retail or foodservice.
• Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin management and negotiation.
• A growth mindset, confident in taking ownership and pursuing new opportunities.
• Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
• Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Punjabi or Gujarati language skills to connect with the customer base.
• Experience with commodity or price-sensitive products such as oil, rice or flour is advantageous.
