About the role
Bailey Nelson is looking for a Casual Optical Assistant to join its Christchurch CBD team. The role sits at the heart of the customer experience, helping people find their perfect frames and supporting their eyecare needs. Experience in optical work is not required.
Key responsibilities
- Help customers find their perfect frames
- Support customers' eyecare needs
- Deliver a positive, memorable experience at every visit
Required profile
- Experience in retail, hospitality or a similar field, with a customer-first mindset
- Enthusiasm, a can-do attitude and a strong sense of teamwork
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage time well
- Problem-solving skills and a results-driven approach
- Availability on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, with full availability during peak trading periods and willingness to take on extra shifts
