Capability and Wellbeing Coordinator

About the role
The University of Canterbury is seeking a proactive Capability and Wellbeing Coordinator to support its core staff capability and wellbeing development programme. This full‑time, fixed‑term position will be based on the Christchurch campus and will work closely with the People and Culture team.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate training schedules and ensure timely delivery of learning activities.
- Maintain and continuously improve online learning and professional development systems.
- Analyse participation and performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with managers, faculty and external providers to ensure smooth programme delivery.
- Support e‑learning initiatives, programme planning and facilitation.
Required profile
- Organised, proactive team player with strong relationship‑building skills.
- Administration experience in HR, Learning & Development or a wellbeing‑focused function.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or a related discipline (desirable).
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Commitment to the university’s values; te reo Māori skills are an advantage.
Required skills
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Prolorus or Totora.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
