Business Development Manager – Christchurch

About the role

EnviroNZ is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth across the Upper South Island. Based in the Christchurch office, you will lead the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to tendering, negotiating and onboarding new customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities throughout the Upper South Island.
• Lead tenders, prepare proposals and conduct negotiations.
• Oversee onboarding and early‑stage account management to ensure smooth transitions.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide market insights to the team.
• Collaborate closely with Operations and internal teams to deliver practical, commercially sound solutions.

Required profile

• Extensive business development experience with a proven track record of winning and growing accounts.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive, self‑driven attitude with a methodical, detail‑oriented approach.
• Ability to think broadly and propose practical solutions for customers.
• Experience in waste, environmental services, construction or transport sectors is advantageous.
