BI Developer

About the role

Deloitte’s Information Technology Services team in Auckland is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to design, build and maintain high‑impact reporting solutions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into insightful Power BI dashboards and data models that support decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports and visualisations.
• Gather requirements from business stakeholders and convert them into technical specifications.
• Build and optimise data models using DAX and SSAS Tabular for dynamic, time‑intelligent reporting.
• Collect, transform and integrate data from multiple sources, supporting ETL/ELT processes.
• Write and optimise SQL queries, scripts and stored procedures on Microsoft SQL Server.
• Manage the existing report portfolio, ensuring security, governance and performance.
• Provide after‑hours support for report deployments and releases.
• Offer guidance and training to internal teams on reporting tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a full‑time business intelligence, reporting or data analytics role.
• Proven ability to work with business stakeholders to deliver reporting solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
