Automotive Technician

About the role

We are looking for experienced Automotive Technicians to join our central AA branch in New Plymouth and our new Advantage workshop in Bell Block. The successful candidates will deliver high‑quality maintenance and repair services, ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop safe and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle faults across mechanical, electrical, brake and suspension systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections and servicing according to manufacturer specifications.
• Test and adjust engine components, transmission, and related systems to guarantee optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate service records and adhere to health‑and‑safety standards.
• Provide clear communication with customers regarding work performed and recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience as an automotive technician.
• Relevant certification such as a Working‑on‑Fire (WoF) licence is an advantage.
• Commitment to delivering work to the highest professional standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented workshop environment.
