Audit Intermediate - Wellington

About the role

Grant Thornton New Zealand is looking for an Audit Intermediate in Wellington CBD, working in a team with flexible working options. You will work closely with experienced Managers, Directors and Partners across a variety of industry sectors, liaising directly with clients and supervising more junior team members. The role suits people who understand technical aspects and are confident suggesting better ways of doing things.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with audit assignments as part of a team at any stage, including planning, fieldwork and completion.
• Lead audit planning discussions where required, including identifying risks and notifying the manager.
• Identify technical or administrative issues on an assignment and recommend responses.

Required profile

• 2+ years of external audit experience.
• CA or CPA qualification in progress (or equivalent).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid organisation and time management, and ability to manage multiple audits at once.

Required skills

• Confidence with systems and the MS Office suite, including advanced Excel.
