About the role
The Associate Lecturer in Policing Studies will join the School of Social Sciences at the NSW Police Academy in Goulburn. This full‑time, ongoing position focuses on delivering student‑centred teaching and contributing to research across policing, criminology and cyber‑security.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, responsive teaching across face‑to‑face and online modes for the Associate Degree in Applied Policing.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and support to students throughout their studies.
- Participate in curriculum development and ensure alignment with current industry standards and evidence‑based practice.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with the NSW Police Force and other industry partners.
- Develop collaborative research projects within the policing and security domain.
- Contribute to school governance, administration and team‑based initiatives.
Required profile
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Contemporary knowledge of policing practices gained through professional or scholarly experience.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate learning in diverse settings using innovative and digital methods.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and relationship‑building skills.

- Salary range $97,153 – $117,376 per annum plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.
