Associate - Business Execution (Markets)

About the role

The Associate, Business Execution (Markets) supports the Markets business, focusing on the Pacific portfolio. Working closely with business leaders, the role drives operational excellence, regulatory compliance, risk management, and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support strategic analysis, development and initiatives across the division, including cost analysis, controls, travel & entertainment budgets and market data management.
• Represent the business in relevant Markets and divisional forums and lead interfaces for key systems and technology projects, ensuring strong governance.
• Investigate risk issues with Business Governance, identify solutions and coordinate remediation.
• Sponsor process improvement across Trading & Product business to deliver efficiencies and successful implementation.
• Assist the NZ Business Execution team and Head of Markets and Transaction Banking (Pacific) in simplifying business processes.
• Build and maintain a strong network of contacts within Markets, Institutional division, Group and key enablers.
• Provide assistance with Business Management Forums and contribute to Risk and Compliance committees, embedding a strong risk culture.

Required profile

• Experience in business improvement projects or initiatives.
• Proven banking, business and project management experience.
• Strong influencing, negotiation and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and present consolidated findings.
• Strong product knowledge and understanding of end‑to‑end processes.
