Area Manager – Retail (Auckland)

About the role

Skechers Australia is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead a portfolio of 14 stores across Auckland. You will act as the regional business owner, driving sales, coaching store managers and expanding the brand’s presence in New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Own regional performance by analysing trading results, setting KPIs and implementing growth strategies.
• Coach, develop and inspire Store Managers to deliver consistent sales, customer experience and operational excellence.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, including visual merchandising, stock control, wage spend and rostering.
• Lead succession planning and talent development to build future leaders within the region.
• Collaborate with senior retail leadership to align regional goals with national objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Area, Cluster or Multi‑Site Manager in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs across multiple stores.
• Ability to make autonomous strategic decisions that improve regional performance.
• Growth mindset with ambition to progress into senior leadership.
• Passionate people leader who thrives on coaching and developing teams.
