Architect/Designer – Education (6‑month contract)

About the role

Woods Bagot is looking for an experienced Architect or Designer to join its Auckland studio on a six‑month contract. The role will support the delivery of education‑focused projects across Australia, working from concept through to detailed documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in design development and documentation for schools, tertiary and other institutional projects.
• Collaborate closely with Principals, Project Leaders and Australian studio teams.
• Contribute to user‑centred, design‑led learning environments that respond to community needs.
• Coordinate with consultants and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Required profile

• 4–10 years of experience in architectural practice.
• Proven track record delivering education projects (schools, tertiary or institutional).
• Strong design and documentation capability across project stages.
• Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience with Rhino (highly regarded).
