Senior Project Architect

About the role

Babbage Consultants is seeking a Senior Project Architect to lead multidisciplinary projects from concept through construction in Auckland. You will work with a collaborative team to deliver practical, sustainable solutions across industrial, commercial, infrastructure and civic sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate projects through all phases, ensuring buildable and well‑resolved architectural outcomes.
• Oversee technical delivery, documentation, consultant coordination and project quality.
• Manage relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and authorities professionally.
• Apply strong technical judgement to resolve design, coordination and construction challenges early.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of practice standards.

Required profile

• NZRAB registration with significant New Zealand architectural project experience.
• Proven ability to independently lead projects from concept to completion.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
• Calm, solutions‑focused mindset capable of handling complexity and competing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit.
