SmartComms Developer

About the role

As a SmartComms Developer you will join IAG's technology products and services division, delivering resilient and innovative solutions at scale. You will work across the full lifecycle of Smart Communications applications, from design through to testing and debugging, within an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Improve coding practices and raise source‑code development standards.
• Design, develop, maintain and refactor clean, readable and scalable code.
• Participate in the full development cycle – design, development, testing and debugging of Smart Communications applications.
• Apply agile delivery practices to build robust, reliable solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering excellence across the team.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with SmartComms modules such as Advance Template Designer, Data Modeler and Web Editor.
• Professional experience in Java development (preferred).
• Experience in template authoring, recognising graphical elements, layouts, stylesets and variable data requirements.
• Technical knowledge of creating simple, scriptable batch configurations and output configurations for post‑processing.
• Ability to design and develop documents based on business requirements.
• Familiarity with Smart Communication APIs and test‑plan creation.
