Senior Team Leader – Site & Distribution

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Senior Team Leader to join our Site & Distribution team. This critical leadership position oversees a production crew, ensuring daily operations are safe, efficient, and meet high quality standards. You will spend most of your time on the shop floor, supporting the team, verifying processes, and translating production plans into actionable results.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support team members to achieve production, quality, and safety targets.
• Communicate daily production plans clearly and ensure team understanding and delivery.
• Monitor performance metrics such as yields, KPIs, and workflow, taking corrective action when needed.
• Promote a strong health, safety, and compliance culture without compromising standards.
• Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and quality requirements are consistently met.
• Build strong relationships across departments to facilitate coordination.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within the team and wider department.
• Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance management.
• Support reporting, problem‑solving, and operational improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a production or processing environment, preferably in the meat industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold people accountable.
• Excellent communication skills – clear, concise, and engaging.
• Solid understanding of production processes, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Proactive approach to health and safety and commitment to a strong safety culture.
• Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Team‑first mindset and collaborative attitude across departments.
