Senior Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Harth’s product team in Christchurch. You will own the front‑end experience of our visual workspace, building the viewport, 3D scene and AI‑driven interactions that homeowners, architects and builders use daily.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance 2D and 3D interfaces that render photorealistic visualisations.
• Develop AI‑powered flows for image generation, material swapping and user guidance.
• Collaborate with three principal engineers to solve complex front‑end challenges and maintain a high bar for visual quality.
• Ensure the product feels beautiful, responsive and intuitive at every frame.
• Ship production‑ready features that directly impact the homeowner’s journey.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience building front‑end applications.
• Passion for crafting pixel‑perfect user experiences.
• Comfort working deep in code rather than moving into management.
• Ability to work closely with a small, high‑performing engineering team.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in front‑end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience with 3D rendering technologies (e.g., WebGL, Three.js) or similar.
• Familiarity with AI integration for image generation or similar workflows.
• Understanding of performance optimisation for interactive graphics.
