Senior Project Manager – Wellington

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction and fit‑out projects in Wellington. You will work at the strategic level from project conception through delivery, ensuring client objectives are met on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on strategic approaches and define success criteria (time, cost, technical performance).
• Establish project governance, processes and systems, and produce detailed project plans.
• Manage quality, safety, health and environmental aspects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and coordinate cross‑functional project teams, applying KPI‑based performance management.
• Oversee change control, procurement of resources and financial monitoring.
• Facilitate communication between the team, client and consultants, delivering regular progress reports.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in construction, project management, engineering, surveying or architecture.
• Experience in office fit‑out or renovation projects is a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of the full project life‑cycle from conception to post‑project review.
• Design, management or construction experience within the general construction environment.
