Senior Project Manager – Infrastructure (Auckland)

About the role

Mott MacDonald New Zealand is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects in Auckland. You will own projects from early planning through delivery, working closely with clients in transport, water and the built environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of infrastructure projects across the full lifecycle.
• Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across design, advisory and delivery.
• Oversee programme, cost, risk and quality outcomes.
• Support commercial performance, including project financials.
• Coach and mentor junior project managers and team members.
• Contribute to business development, bids and client engagement.

Required profile

• Strong experience delivering infrastructure or engineering projects within a consultancy or client‑side environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, stakeholders and delivery risks.
• Confident client‑facing skills with a track record of building long‑term relationships.
• Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and project performance.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (engineering, project management or similar).
• Professional membership (or working toward it) such as Engineering New Zealand or PMI.
