Senior Brand Manager

About the role

We are looking for a senior brand manager to lead the strategic direction and growth of Griffin’s master brand, covering biscuits and crackers. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will work from our Ellerslie head office and collaborate regularly with our manufacturing site in Papakura. The role combines brand strategy, innovation pipeline development and cross‑functional project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in shaping brand strategy across the Griffin’s portfolio by providing insights and recommendations.
• Conduct sub‑brand portfolio audits and feed brand plans to prioritize key “jobs to be done” across the marketing mix.
• Lead the creation of a consumer‑insight‑driven, commercially viable innovation pipeline.
• Manage new product development projects with NZ Innovation and Sales teams, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and meeting business case targets.
• Coordinate with external partners on consumer research, packaging design and ATL communications (creative, media & PR) to meet defined briefs.
• Develop, track and deliver plans that achieve agreed market‑share, NSV and contribution‑margin targets.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Business, preferably with a major in Marketing.
• Minimum 7 years of FMCG brand management experience.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand strategies.
• Strong project‑management capability, including end‑to‑end NPD experience.
• Creative thinker with a commercial mindset and ability to solve problems proactively.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and stakeholder‑relationship skills.
