About the role
Join Plunket as a Registered Nurse delivering proactive, community‑based healthcare across Auckland’s North Shore. You will work directly with families, providing home visits and clinic support while fostering culturally appropriate care for infants and their caregivers.
Key responsibilities
- Assess the growth and development of tamariki and act as a trusted clinical advisor to whānau.
- Conduct home visits and clinic appointments, building trusting relationships and delivering holistic care.
- Provide social support to families facing economic or housing challenges, ensuring safe and healthy environments for infants.
- Manage a flexible daily schedule of up to five family visits, adapting to cancellations, delays, and complex cases.
- Make timely, informed decisions to maintain high‑quality care and minimise risks.
Required profile
- Registered Nurse qualification.
- Current or ability to obtain an Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Restricted or full clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
- Commitment to complete a 12‑month Post‑Graduate Certificate in Well‑Child Tamariki ora (cost covered).
- Adaptable, resourceful, resilient and comfortable working independently.
- Excellent active‑listening and communication skills for interacting with caregivers.
