About the role
The Regional Facilities Manager for New Zealand and the Regional Staff Residential Property (SRP) programme will lead the delivery of facilities management services across FCDO sites in New Zealand and oversee residential property standards across the region. Reporting to senior FCDO stakeholders, the role ensures safety, compliance and operational effectiveness in a diplomatic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide full‑spectrum hard and soft facilities management services, including maintenance, statutory compliance, and project coordination.
- Manage site‑level budgets, procurement processes and supplier performance in line with Commonwealth and JLL best practices.
- Implement and monitor building procedures, fire safety, health & safety, environmental compliance and Critical Environment Management standards.
- Oversee contractor and vendor compliance with security protocols, licensing, insurance and induction requirements.
- Lead health and safety initiatives, enforce zero‑harm standards and manage incident response and business continuity.
- Direct the regional SRP programme, ensuring residential properties are safe, fit for purpose and meet consistent governance standards.
- Supervise residential property operations, including maintenance, refurbishments, handovers and occupant moves.
- Control SRP programme budgets, forecasting, cost‑control and performance reporting.
Required profile
- Proven senior facilities management experience, preferably within secure or diplomatic settings.
- Strong client engagement and governance oversight capabilities.
- Demonstrated financial accountability and budget management skills.
- Ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
