Regional Affairs Manager – Corporate Affairs

About the role

Air New Zealand is seeking a Regional Affairs Manager to strengthen the airline’s connections with communities across New Zealand. Working within the Corporate Affairs team, you will coordinate regional engagement, ensuring the airline’s strategy reflects local perspectives and supports regional connectivity.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with regional stakeholders, including tourism and economic development groups.
• Support engagement with local and central government on connectivity and broader strategic matters.
• Partner with internal teams to embed regional insights into decision‑making processes.
• Coordinate and execute consistent regional engagement activities and initiatives.
• Contribute to partnerships that enhance community connections across key regions.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with multiple stakeholders and building trust.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience providing strategic input in a complex organisation.
• Deep understanding of regional New Zealand and the importance of connectivity for communities.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of local and central government and public‑sector processes.
• Solution‑focused, with strong planning and coordination abilities.
