Quality Manager

About the role

Higgins is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to support its long‑term Integrated Delivery Contract with NZTA in the Bay of Plenty region. Working across the Tauranga and Rotorua sites, you will own the quality management system, ensure compliance, and act as the go‑to person for all quality‑related matters on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for the contract.
• Lead quality planning, audits, inspections and assurance activities on site.
• Manage quality incidents, investigations, corrective actions and close‑out.
• Ensure Procore work packs, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and QA records are complete and accurate.
• Support delivery teams with quality requirements, planning and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with the client and internal teams to meet assurance expectations.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in quality, engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a quality role within civil construction or roading.
• Solid knowledge of NZTA / Waka Kotahi standards and specifications.
• Strong working knowledge of Procore and quality documentation systems.
• Confidence conducting audits, site inspections and quality reviews.
• Clear communicator who builds trust and follows through.
