Project Manager – Consultancy (Construction Projects)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our consultancy and lead high‑end commercial and mixed‑use property projects. You will be responsible for establishing project structures, defining strategies, and managing the procurement and delivery of resources needed to achieve successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and write tenders, contracts and manage procurement processes.
• Contribute to project strategy formulation and design management.
• Engage and manage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure projects are financially sound, risks are mitigated and budgets are controlled.
• Provide construction oversight and act as Engineer’s Representative.
• Form and lead project teams, coordinating resources and schedules.

Required profile

• Proven project management experience, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in construction, engineering or related field.
• Working knowledge of all stages of the construction project management life cycle.
• Familiarity with ETC standards or a solid understanding of the 3910 standard.
• Experience in procurement, tendering and managing construction contracts.
• Basic understanding of resource consent and building consent processes.
