About the role
The Team Leader – Survey role in Wellington is responsible for growing and managing the survey discipline across the Wellington and lower North Island area. Working alongside a technical surveying position, the leader will devote roughly 10‑15% of their time to leadership duties while maintaining a core technical focus.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and expand the survey discipline to meet client and stakeholder expectations.
- Drive commercial, people and project outcomes to deliver exceptional results.
- Collaborate with technical survey staff, providing guidance and oversight.
- Support business development and strategic initiatives within the region.
Required profile
- Relevant tertiary qualification in surveying, engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in an infrastructure‑related management position.
- Professional accreditation relevant to surveying.
- Ability to work effectively with people at all organisational levels.
Required skills
- Strong spatial data skills.
- Proficiency in surveying techniques and tools.
