Processing Officer – Parcel Sorting & Dispatch

About the role

As a Processing Officer at NZ Post you will be hands‑on with sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at the Syd Bradley Road branch. The role runs across a range of processing areas – from preparation and manual or machine sorting to final consolidation and dispatch – keeping the operation flowing smoothly for our couriers.

Key responsibilities

• Sort parcels and freight using manual and automated equipment.
• Consolidate items for efficient dispatch to couriers.
• Operate within preparation, sorting, consolidation and dispatch zones.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.

Required profile

• Available to work Monday to Friday, 5 pm‑1:30 am.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25 kg and sustaining a demanding workload.
• Strong attention to detail and good geographical knowledge.
• Commitment to personal and site safety.
• Ability to manage time effectively and enjoy a physically active role.
