Part-Time Cleaner (Aged Care)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Cleaner to join Waterlea Lifecare in Blenheim. You will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our 61‑bed aged‑care residents.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas to high hygiene standards.
• Follow the established cleaning schedule and use appropriate equipment and products.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisory team.
• Manage cleaning supplies and ensure stock levels are maintained.
• Support the wider housekeeping team and work independently when required.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning experience is preferred, though full on‑the‑job training is provided.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
• Good communication, interpersonal and time‑management skills.
• Empathetic, friendly attitude with a genuine desire to help people.

Required skills

• Knowledge of standard cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to meet quality and hygiene standards.
