Operations Manager

About the role

This hands‑on leadership position sits at the centre of Zion Fire’s fire alarm and sprinkler projects across Auckland. You will own planning, resourcing and delivery of installation, service and maintenance work, ensuring safety, quality and timeliness on every job.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day delivery across field teams.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate workloads to meet project timelines.
• Ensure jobs are completed on time, within scope and budget.
• Oversee project delivery, tracking, close‑out and reporting.
• Manage job costing, margins and operational performance.
• Maintain compliance, certification and documentation.
• Support, lead and develop technicians and supervisors.
• Conduct site visits, inspections and quality checks.
• Maintain strong client relationships and manage escalations.
• Drive safety, quality and accountability across all work.

Required profile

• 5+ years’ experience in operations management, preferably in fire protection or a related trade.
• Proven ability to lead field‑based teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience in costing, budgeting and efficiency.
• Clear, confident leadership style and highly organised approach.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and high‑quality workmanship.
