About the role
Join Silver Fern Farms at its Hokitika processing site, the only West Coast facility employing over 120 team members during peak season. The role offers on‑the‑job training, a supportive environment and opportunities to develop skills in quality control, health and safety, and leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Work on the meat processing line during peak production season.
- Follow health and safety, quality and technical compliance requirements.
Required profile
- No prior experience required; full training provided.
- Must be 18 years or older, eligible to work in New Zealand and pass medical, criminal and fitness checks.
Required skills
- Knife skills.
- Trimming skills.
- Current forklift licence.
What we offer
- Starting pay $28.82 per hour plus extras, with overtime at $43 per hour.
- 8‑hour shifts (day or evening) and up to 30‑40 hours per week during peak season.
