Manager, Governance & Reporting

About the role

As a Manager in the Governance & Reporting team, you will provide a clear and accurate view of the New Zealand Division’s non‑financial risk and control environment. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will support risk assessment processes, understand divisional risk appetite, and deliver high‑quality reporting that enables timely escalation and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Collate inputs from Risk Type COEs and Controls Testing to build divisional risk and control views.
• Compile risk profiles across multiple risk themes, maintaining templates and ensuring completeness.
• Identify data gaps, inconsistencies or emerging themes and escalate as needed.
• Support business unit spokes, driving standardisation and workflow improvements.
• Monitor and report risks that fall outside risk appetite to facilitate escalation and tracking.
• Manage issue lifecycle activities, including action tracking, evidence collation, and reporting using established tools and frameworks.

Required profile

• Experience in risk, governance, controls, audit, or assurance roles within a complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of non‑financial risk frameworks, risk assessment, control environments and assurance concepts.
• Working knowledge of divisional risk appetite and its practical application.
• Confidence coordinating inputs and delivery activities across multiple stakeholders.
