Manager – Digital Risk – Governance, Risk and Compliance (AI, Digital, Cyber)

About the role

EY’s Digital Risk team is looking for a Manager to lead client engagements that identify, assess and manage digital, technology, cyber and AI‑related risks. You will work across multiple industries, helping organisations strengthen digital trust, improve cyber resilience and adopt emerging technologies responsibly.

Key responsibilities

• Lead digital, AI and cyber risk assessments, including maturity reviews, threat modelling and control effectiveness evaluations.
• Design and support implementation of risk frameworks aligned with business strategy and risk appetite.
• Advise clients on regulatory and compliance requirements such as ISO 27001, SOC reporting, NIST, NZISM and emerging AI governance expectations.
• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of engagements, overseeing scope, budgets, timelines and senior stakeholder relationships.
• Coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to business development, proposals and thought‑leadership initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cybersecurity, digital risk, AI risk management, technology risk or technology audit within consulting or complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of digital, AI and cyber risk frameworks, including AI governance, model risk, data privacy and ethical AI.
• Experience assessing AI‑enabled systems such as machine‑learning models, automation tools and advanced analytics.
• Ability to communicate complex technology risks to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including senior executives and boards.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer or Auditor) are highly desirable.
