Intermediate/Senior Litigation Lawyer (2-6 years PQE)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated litigation lawyer to join our growing disputes team in Auckland. The successful candidate will work on a diverse portfolio of civil and commercial matters, ranging from contract and construction disputes to trust, estate and property litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, submissions and other court documents for a variety of dispute types.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
• Engage directly with clients, providing advice and updates throughout the matter.
• Assist senior partners in developing litigation strategies and preparing for mediations, arbitrations, hearings and trials.
• Manage case files independently while collaborating with barristers, King’s Counsel and senior lawyers.

Required profile

• 2–6 years post‑qualification experience in civil or commercial litigation.
• Current New Zealand practising certificate or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong drafting, research and analytical abilities with sound judgment.
• Excellent communication skills and a client‑focused approach.
• Right to work in New Zealand.
