House Assistant – Part‑time Fixed‑term (6 months)

About the role

We are looking for a well‑rounded, enthusiastic individual to join our Year 11 boarding team on a six‑month fixed‑term basis. The part‑time role is designed for university students or those seeking flexible early‑morning, after‑school, evening and weekend shifts, allowing you to make a positive impact on the lives of our boarders.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong collegial relationships with kaimahi (staff).
• Mentor and encourage positive behaviours among ākonga (students).
• Collaborate effectively within the boarding team.
• Ensure the safety, supervision and security of ākonga.

Required profile

• Commitment to approximately 20 hours per week across varied shifts.
• Willingness to coach or manage a school sports team.
• Active participation in boarding house and school activities.
• Background in working with youth and a can‑do attitude.

• Ability to use initiative.
• Team‑player mindset.
