General Practitioner – Full/Part Time in South Auckland

About the role

South Link Health is seeking experienced General Practitioners (GPEP2 or Fellowship level) to join its supportive primary‑care teams across the Clendon, Papakura and Takanini sites in South Auckland. The positions are available on both full‑time and part‑time bases, offering flexible schedules within busy yet well‑supported practices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical consultations and assessments for a diverse patient population.
• Develop and implement personalised care plans in partnership with patients and their whānau.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including specialists and allied health providers.
• Coordinate referrals and follow‑up care to ensure continuity.
• Maintain accurate, compliant clinical documentation.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and peer learning.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
• Completion of GPEP2 or Fellowship level training.
• Valid medical indemnity insurance and ACLS certification.
• Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand.

Required skills

• Strong clinical ability to manage a broad range of general practice presentations.
• ACLS certification.
• Familiarity with MedTech Evolution (advantageous).
• Cultural competency, including understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori tikanga.
