Experienced Night CCTV Operator – Central Auckland

About the role

Red Badge Group is seeking an experienced Night CCTV Operator to join its Guarding team at a central Auckland site. The role covers Friday night (10 pm‑6 am) and weekend shifts (Saturday 6 pm‑6 am, Sunday 6 pm‑6 am). You will work independently, monitoring live feeds and responding to incidents throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor CCTV feeds for suspicious activity, trespass, vandalism, theft and safety hazards.
• Rapidly assess incidents, determine severity and trigger the appropriate escalation or response.
• Produce clear, accurate incident reports and log actions taken, preserving relevant footage for investigations.
• Maintain professional, calm communication with clients, stakeholders and team members.
• Follow company policies, privacy regulations and health & safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Calm under pressure with strong attention to detail.
• Previous experience as a CCTV operator, alarm‑room operator or similar security monitoring role.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work night shifts that include weekends.
• Hold, or be able to obtain, a current NZ COA security licence.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand, at least 18 years old, with a clear criminal record or ability to meet vetting standards.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CCTV/monitoring software.
• Basic IT competency.
