Control Room Operator

About the role

The Control Room Operator will join the Safety and Security team to monitor and operate CCTV, access‑control and alarm systems, ensuring the safety of people, venues and assets across Auckland. Working closely with the Shift Supervisor, you will respond calmly to incidents in a fast‑paced, 24/7 shift environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor live CCTV feeds and respond to security incidents.
• Operate and manage access‑control and alarm systems.
• Follow established procedures and best practices for incident handling.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports of all activities.
• Collaborate with other security personnel and external agencies as required.

Required profile

• Highly motivated with strong observation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of security principles, best practices and procedures.
• Willingness to obtain a Certificate of Approval (COA) or NZQA Level 3 Security Certificate if not already held (cost reimbursed).
• Reliable transport and ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Right to work in New Zealand, two positive references, clear Ministry of Justice check, and pass drug/alcohol testing.

What we offer
