Data Center IT Technician – AWS Infrastructure

About the role

Join Amazon Web Services' Infrastructure Services team as a Data Center IT Technician. You will install, configure, and maintain the IT hardware that powers the AWS cloud, working alongside engineers, logistics specialists, and operations managers in high‑density data centers.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure racks of servers, storage and network devices in line with internal SLAs.
• Diagnose and repair hardware issues, including physical replacement of parts.
• Remediate power and cooling incidents on racks and support scheduled power/cooling events.
• Perform shift work on a 4‑days‑on/4‑days‑off rotational schedule, including night shifts.
• Travel between sites using personal vehicle; maintain required documentation and safety standards.

Required profile

• Experience as a server, network or storage technician with a passion for technology.
• Physical ability to lift and rack equipment using lifting tools.
• Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle for site travel.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts in a data‑center environment.
