About the role
Henry Schein One is looking for a Senior Developer to own end‑to‑end delivery of features for its cloud‑based practice management platform. You will work closely with product, design, security and operations teams to create high‑impact solutions that improve the dental customer experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the full development lifecycle from discovery to delivery, focusing on customer value and business impact.
- Design, build, and ship APIs, integrations, and automations that solve real problems.
- Leverage AI‑powered tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) to accelerate analysis, coding, testing, and documentation while maintaining quality.
- Make pragmatic technology choices and avoid over‑engineering.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to learn quickly, iterate, and ship what matters.
Required profile
- Proven track record of delivering valuable software solutions.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and ownership mindset.
- Passion for building useful products and learning from setbacks.
- Extensive experience conducting thorough code reviews.
Required skills
- Proficiency with AI‑enhanced development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot).
- Experience in multiple languages/frameworks such as C#, Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript.NET, Spring, React, Next.js, Angular, Vue.
- Deep knowledge of AWS and/or Azure services (compute, databases, storage, containers, security, networking).
- Strong SQL (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Redis, Cosmos DB, DynamoDB) expertise, including ORMs (EF Core, Dapper, Npgsql, Microsoft.Data.SqlClient).
- Implementation of OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC, Auth0, Microsoft Entra ID for authentication/authorization.
- Familiarity with observability platforms (Application Insights, AWS CloudWatch, Dynatrace, DataDog, Splunk, Prometheus/Grafana).
- Modern engineering practices: CI/CD, trunk‑based development, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, monorepo, shift‑left testing, and rigorous code review.
