Cost Manager – Major Energy Infrastructure Programme

About the role

The Cost Manager will support the commercial and cost management of high‑value electricity transmission and grid reinforcement packages. Working closely with client teams, contractors, consultants and programme stakeholders, you will help maintain financial control across a long‑term regulated infrastructure programme.

Key responsibilities

• Produce cost reports, forecasts and manage budgets for major infrastructure packages.
• Administer NEC contracts (Option E), handling change control and compensation events.
• Review contractor submissions, valuations and commercial reports.
• Provide commercial assurance and reporting at programme level.
• Support risk, value and cost governance across live projects.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across client, consultancy and contractor teams.

Required profile

• Qualified Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager with strong commercial experience.
• Extensive exposure to NEC contracts (NEC3 or NEC4) in infrastructure projects.
• Background in power, energy, utilities or heavy civil engineering.
• Proven ability in cost reporting, forecasting and change control.
• Experience working in a client‑facing or programme‑side environment.
