Charge Point Operator – Technical Helpdesk (Wellington)

About the role

Thundergrid, part of Landis+Gyr, is expanding smart EV infrastructure across ANZ. We are looking for a Charge Point Operator to join our Sales team in Wellington. In this full‑time position you will be the first point of contact for EV drivers, delivering calm and professional phone‑based technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide phone support to EV drivers experiencing charging issues.
• Troubleshoot charger faults, communication failures and network connectivity problems.
• Assist users with app access, user IDs, permissions and account queries.
• Support installers remotely during commissioning, testing, repairs and annual maintenance.
• Log, manage and resolve helpdesk tickets with clear documentation.
• Coordinate field repairs with electrical contractors and installers.
• Onboard fleet managers to data portals and reporting tools.
• Process warranty claims and work with the fulfilment team on repairs and replacements.
• Maintain the asset register and ensure accurate billing of labour and material costs.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent problem‑solving and fault‑diagnosis abilities.
• Organised, process‑driven and detail‑oriented.
• Ability to coordinate repairs and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using ticketing or inbox management systems.
