About the role
Join ABB’s Motion division as a Business Development Manager focused on Heavy Industries. You will drive revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities across sectors such as metals, power generation, oil & gas, and pulp & paper.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute consultative sales strategies to acquire new customers and meet revenue targets.
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with engineering teams, technical leaders, and senior executives.
- Lead market development and sales planning using advanced CRM and sales platforms, monitoring performance and adjusting tactics.
- Prospect proactively, qualify leads, and close complex, capital‑intensive deals.
- Collaborate with internal technical experts to deliver integrated systems solutions that address customer challenges.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven track record in business development or sales within industrial, capital‑intensive sectors.
- Strong technical acumen and confidence engaging with engineering and technical leaders.
- Ability to influence multi‑level decision‑making from plant‑floor engineers to senior management.
- Full driver’s licence for field visits and proficiency with CRM and sales tools.
