Account Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Account Manager who will own and nurture a portfolio of client relationships for a fast‑growing content and organic social agency. The role sits at the heart of the business, acting as the primary point of contact for some of New Zealand’s most recognisable brands.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage a portfolio of client relationships day‑to‑day.
• Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring responsiveness and reliability.
• Brief internal teams and drive projects from kickoff through delivery.
• Track campaign performance and provide clear, honest reporting to clients.
• Identify opportunities to add value and grow relationships over time.
• Spot issues early and propose solutions, not just problems.
• Represent the agency in a way that encourages long‑term client partnership.

Required profile

• 2+ years of client‑facing experience in an agency environment.
• Confident communicator who can lead meetings and write sharp emails.
• Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
• Commercially aware with an eye for sustainable client relationships.
• Calm under pressure and adept at managing up, down and sideways.
• Proactive ownership without needing repeated direction.

Required skills

• Competitive salary $60,000‑$80,000 NZD per year, dependent on experience.
