Workshop Supervisor – RAWE Stonebox Operations

About the role

Hynds is seeking a hands‑on Workshop Supervisor to lead daily operations at the RAWE Manufacturing and Pukekohe workshop sites. Reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager, you will ensure safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives are met while maintaining a high‑performing workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily toolbox meetings and promote a safe, high‑performance culture.
• Monitor product quality, identify defects, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage production planning, recording, and reporting to site leadership.
• Oversee staff inductions, training, leave management, and day‑to‑day crew coordination.
• Minimise waste and manage raw materials, consumables, and PPE distribution.
• Coordinate service requests with the maintenance team.
• Champion 5S housekeeping standards and ensure health & safety compliance.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong health & safety mindset with the ability to lead by example.
• Excellent communication and people skills; first point of contact for the team.
• Organised, accountable, and able to juggle priorities while reporting clearly.
• Natural coach who builds team morale and develops people.
