Traffic Management Designer

About the role

Downer is seeking a Traffic Management Designer to join its South region teams. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work near a depot and attend the office a few days each week. You will be responsible for creating detailed Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) that ensure safety and efficiency on construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Produce Traffic Management Plans for internal teams and external clients.
• Manage the Service Request system, maintaining quality and accuracy of submissions.
• Align traffic management planning with forward workload and project schedules.
• Contribute to project/contract methodology, budgets and programmes for maintenance contracts and projects.
• Supervise and coordinate with multiple teams and organisations across a multi‑discipline business.

Required profile

• Proven experience in traffic management and planning.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven and eager to continuously learn.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment where no two days are the same.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Traffic Management Design software such as Rapid Plan, Rapid Path and AutoCAD.
• Holding a TTMP Planning Warrant or equivalent unit standard.
