Clerk of Works – Water Services (Fixed-term)

About the role

We are looking for a Clerk of Works to join our Water Services team in Rolleston on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role ensures that drinking water and wastewater construction and maintenance activities are carried out in line with approved designs, specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee on‑site construction and maintenance works for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Conduct inspections and monitor compliance with designs, specifications and regulations.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation.
• Coordinate effectively with contractors, project stakeholders and internal teams.
• Ensure health and safety best practices are followed on all activities.

Required profile

• 3–5 years’ experience in civil infrastructure inspection, supervision or construction.
• Proven experience on drinking water and wastewater projects.
• Background in municipal or utility infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with pressure testing, chlorination/disinfection procedures and commissioning.
• Experience using asset management and inspection software.
• Physically fit, self‑motivated and health‑and‑safety conscious.
