Strategic Procurement Manager – Professional Services

About the role

Westpac is seeking a strategically minded procurement professional to lead end‑to‑end procurement activity across its Professional Services portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Lead, you will shape category strategies, manage sourcing and contracts, and deliver commercial and sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic category management plans for Professional Services.
• Lead sourcing, negotiation and contract activities across medium‑ to large‑complexity spend.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to design labour sourcing and engagement models, including supplier optimisation and governance.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Provide pragmatic commercial and procurement advice to support business outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong experience in professional services procurement, with credibility across complex initiatives.
• Proven ability to deliver end‑to‑end procurement programmes or large‑scale initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including with senior leaders.
• Collaborative, solutions‑focused approach with sound commercial judgement.
• High integrity and professionalism in supplier and stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a broader team.
